1. Who We Are — and Who We Are Not

FindEnergyRates ("FER," "we," "us") is a consumer advocacy and comparison service. Our purpose is to help consumers in deregulated energy markets understand their options and find competitive electricity and natural gas rates.

We are not an energy marketplace, an energy supplier, or a utility. We do not sell electricity or natural gas. We do not set the rates displayed on this site. We do not process energy enrollments on suppliers' behalf, and no contract for energy supply is ever formed between you and FindEnergyRates.

2. Where Our Rate Data Comes From

The plans, rates, and offers displayed on this site are aggregated from third-party sources, including energy suppliers' published offerings, state public utility commission resources, and third-party comparison marketplaces. We collect this information on a regular schedule and work continuously to keep it accurate and current.

Because this data originates with third parties and market rates change frequently:

• A displayed rate may differ from the rate currently offered by the supplier or the source marketplace.
• A displayed plan may be modified, repriced, or withdrawn by its supplier at any time, without notice to us.
• The rate you are ultimately offered is determined solely by the supplier or marketplace where you enroll — always confirm the current rate, term, fees, and conditions at the point of enrollment before signing up.

We make no guarantee, express or implied, that any displayed rate or plan is available, accurate, or complete at the moment you view it.

3. Links and Source Attribution

Links to supplier plans. Plan links on FindEnergyRates, and in results from our data service, pass through findenergyrates.com so we can count clicks. They then send you directly to the supplier's own page for that plan. We do not change the plan, its price, or its terms, and the page you land on belongs to the supplier. In Texas, where FindEnergyRates is a registered broker (PUCT BR250242), some suppliers may pay us when you enroll through our link. Payment never affects the order in which we rank plans. Outside Texas, we receive no compensation from suppliers.

When you follow a link away from FindEnergyRates, you are subject to the destination's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or conduct of third-party sites, suppliers, or marketplaces.

4. Compensation Disclosure

In Texas, where FindEnergyRates is a registered broker (PUCT BR250242), we may receive compensation from energy suppliers when you enroll through our links or when we arrange a supply contract for you as your broker, as described in Section 3. Outside Texas, we receive no compensation from suppliers, brokers, or marketplaces for the plans we list. Compensation does not determine the rates displayed — rates are shown as published by their sources — and does not change the price you pay for energy. Separately from energy plans, we may earn affiliate commissions from merchants or affiliate networks when you buy certain non-energy products we link to, such as portable power stations; these commissions do not change the price you pay and are not compensation for the energy plans we list.

5. FER Services: Rate Monitoring and Enrollment Assistance

In addition to the comparison service, FindEnergyRates offers optional services, including rate monitoring (we track your rate and contract end date and alert you when a cheaper plan appears) and enrollment assistance. By using these services you agree that:

• Information you provide (such as your utility, current rate, contract dates, or a copy of your bill) will be used to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Alerts and recommendations are informational. They are based on the aggregated data described in Section 2 and carry the same accuracy limitations. We are not a fiduciary, and our alerts are not a guarantee of savings.
• You are always free to enroll, or not enroll, in any plan; the decision and the resulting supply contract are between you and the supplier.

In Texas, FindEnergyRates is a registered energy broker (PUCT Broker Registration No. BR250242), and brokerage services are provided in accordance with applicable state regulations.

In all other states, FindEnergyRates works as a directory and comparison listing. We do not provide brokerage or sales services there and collect no commissions or supplier payments. Our plan links send you to the supplier or source where the plan is offered, and any enrollment occurs directly between you and that supplier or marketplace — our monitoring and alerts in those states are informational only.

6. Fees and Payments

FindEnergyRates' services are provided to consumers free of charge. We do not charge consumers for any service, we do not collect or process consumer payment information, and we do not bill consumers for energy. Your energy charges are billed by your supplier and/or utility under the terms of the plan you select, and any payment relationship is solely between you and them.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this site only for lawful, personal, or internal business purposes. You may not scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from this site; misrepresent your identity; interfere with the site's operation; or use the site to infringe others' rights.

8. Intellectual Property

The site's design, text, software, and compiled presentation are the property of FindEnergyRates or its licensors. Rate data originates with its third-party sources as described in Section 2; supplier names, plan names, and marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison purposes only.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. FINDENERGYRATES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY DISPLAYED RATE OR PLAN IS CURRENT, AVAILABLE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USE OF THE SITE WILL RESULT IN SAVINGS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDENERGYRATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM (a) RELIANCE ON DISPLAYED RATES OR PLAN INFORMATION, (b) YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY SUPPLIER, MARKETPLACE, OR OTHER THIRD PARTY, OR (c) YOUR ENERGY SUPPLY CONTRACT OR CHARGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE OR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of your information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site or services you consent to that policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes to the terms governing the monitoring or assistance services will be communicated to affected users. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the consumer-protection law of your state of residence applies by its own terms. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be brought in the state or federal courts of Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
